Charity Fundraising Statement – COVID-19
With the ongoing development of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are dedicated to ensuring that our donors and fundraisers continue to be supported at this time.
Covid-19 has had a considerable impact on many of those in the PKD community and as a charity we are committed to continue providing enduring support as we navigate through these unprecedented times. Much of this is underpinned by the outstanding ongoing efforts of our donors and fundraisers.
If you are fundraising in aid of PKD Charity, we appreciate that your fundraising activities may take place outside of the home as lockdown eases. We therefore advise that you adhere to government guidelines when choosing to organise or carry out fundraising activities. Where you are seeking to adapt your fundraising efforts in order to comply with social distancing guidelines, please feel free to contact our team for support or advice on ways this can be enabled (such as virtual fundraising events), details below.
In addition, we advise all our fundraisers and supporters to guidance on how to avoid catching or spreading coronavirus. This guidance can be found on the NHS website: here
For our fundraisers who have registered a place in a third-party event which has not been organised by PKD Charity, we advise that you not only follow government guidelines and medical advice, and that you also monitor the information released from the third party organiser. We will also do all we can to update you on any postponements or cancellations of third-party events by contacting you directly via email.
Supporting PKD Charity at this time of need
As always, we would like to thank everybody for your continued support and ask that you stay up to date with charity news via our website and social media channels, which we will use to deliver key updates.
In the meantime, if you wish to continue support PKD Charity during this crisis then please make a donation.
